Bring a touch of the magical world into the everyday with cross stitched versions of fairies, unicorns and an oh-so-sweet castle! Straight from the pages of a story book, Durene’s fun designs use some fractionals and French knots to achieve the detailing, making them a great project for an intermediate stitcher. Although we’ve made them up into cards, the possibilities for these designs are endless – why not make a cushion cover backed with matching pink fabric, or patch one onto a notebook to give as a sweet gift? They would also work well if you stitched all six as a gorgeous wall hanging for a little girl’s bedroom.
You will need:
Threads: Stranded cotton as listed in the key
Needle: Size 24 tapestry needle
Fabric: 14-count white aida ameasuring 15x15cm (6x6in) for each design
Extras: Craft Creations square aperture cards (AP53U) in pinkand raspberry
MAXIMUM STITCH COUNT 50 high x 50 wide DESIGN AREA 14 HPI (28-count evenweave) -9x9cm (3,5 x 3,5in)
These designs were stitched using DMC stranded cotton
Aperture cards come with three panels, two plain and one with the aperture in the middle. To mount your stitching, trim your finished design so it fits inside the aperture of the card, including a 2cm (3/4in) border. Place your design in the aperture and when you’re happy with the position, mark it with pins. Put double-sided tape around the edges of the aperture, place your stitching face down, using the pins as a guide, and stick to the card, then remove the pins. Put more double-sided tape around the edges of the aperture panel and then fold the left hand panel inwards to stick the two together.

Your Durene Jones Pattern is not a PDF File and I have never heard of rar before?? Is there any way that it could be converted to a PDF for downloading? Just luv her work and I do not have this pattern but would luv it. Thank you.
